Golf Cart Battery System Warranty Statement (BATTLite)

LITHIUMIX INC. (“Lithiumix”) warrants every BATTLite branded product it manufactures or distributes under normal use and proper maintenance to be free of defects in material or workmanship.

1. Warranty Limitations

  1. Applies only to products sold in U.S., Canada, and Mexico. Cross-border warranty claims are not accepted.
  2. Covers products sold directly by Lithiumix or authorized dealers, provided provisions of this statement are followed.
  3. A failure is defined as any defect preventing normal function, excluding normal wear and tear.
  4. If replaced, the new product continues with the original warranty period.
  5. Lithiumix may change product design/specifications anytime, no obligation to update sold products.
  6. Exclusive liability: repair or replacement within warranty period under these terms.

2. Warranty Period

Starts from date of manufacture. Periods:

If a Battery is defective, buyer receives:

  • Years 0–5: Free repair/replacement (may be refurbished with similar cycles & SOH).
  • Year 6: New battery at 65% of MSRP.
  • Year 7: New battery at 75% of MSRP.
  • Year 8: New battery at 85% of MSRP.

3. Warranty Exclusions

Not covered:

  1. No signed/approved technical specification document.
  2. Improper installation/use, misuse, accident, negligence, improper storage.
    • Short circuit or unauthorized applications.
    • Deformation, collision, drop, puncture, flooding, etc.
    • Impact hammering, rollover, overload, chemical corrosion.
    • Disconnecting charger incorrectly causing arcing/connector damage.
  3. Unauthorized repairs, alterations, modifications.
  4. Using non-Lithiumix chargers, accessories, or 3rd-party components (causing battery or system failure).
  5. Defects undiscoverable at time of manufacture (scientific limitation).
  6. Force majeure: fire, earthquake, flood, hurricane.
  7. Serial number missing/modified.
  8. Natural wear/tear, product outside warranty period, or product at normal end-of-life (accumulated discharge amp-hours).

Lithiumix may deny a claim if, upon inspection, the product is at normal end of life even within warranty period.

4. Claim Process

Steps:

  1. End user contacts dealer for troubleshooting.
  2. If unsolved, dealer collects faulty info + documents (warranty card, invoice).
  3. Dealer submits repair report to Lithiumix or authorized provider.
  4. Lithiumix or provider may:
    • User sends product to outlet for repair.
    • Send spare parts + guide repair.
    • On-site service by Lithiumix engineer.
    • Remote technical support.
  5. After 5 years: End-user contacts dealer for discounted replacement (per Section 2).

5. Customer Responsibilities

  1. Repair accepted only when Battery System Fault Information Form is verified by Lithiumix or dealer.
  2. Report failures within 1 month. Disconnect plugs/switches to prevent further damage. Delay may void coverage.
  3. Storage: keep >30% SOC, turn off, store indoors. Recharge at least every 3 months if stored long-term.

  1. Defective parts replaced remain Lithiumix property; customers must cooperate for temporary storage/disposal.
  2. Routine/necessary maintenance service fees are borne by customer.

6. Limitation of Liability

Governing law: California. Lithiumix not liable for lost profits, or any special, indirect, incidental, consequential, contingent, or punitive damages.

7. Rights & Interpretation

All other rights remain with Lithiumix. Lithiumix reserves final interpretation of this statement.
